Welcome to the first installment of VOCE, the Princeton voice synthesis historical construction experiment.
Currently, the first version of the documentation is completed. Please use the navigation links to the left to read about the vocal
synthesis techniques of different time periods.
The VOCE project aims to analyze and reconstruct the progression of speech synthesis technology from the ancient civilizations of the
Mediterranean to cutting edge simulations in hardware and software. We'll be compiling a library of articles, links, and short
explanations related to voice synthesis technology, and reconstructing/testing those models which we find to be most interesting.
